Episode 9: During this episode we talked Dr. Justin Dunaway, PT, DPT, OCS and Dr. Morgan Denny, PT, DPT about their STAND HAITI PROJECT. The venture sends physical therapists to Haiti to provide physical therapy and medical service to it’s citizens. Their initiative seeks to create a self sustainable model for physical therapy in Haiti that will remain long after their group is gone
Justin and Morgan shared some inspiring stories of patient interactions in Haiti, talk about the why and how that brought the Stand Haiti project to fruition as well as sharing what a donation actually means and can do for their group.
They depart for their next journey to Haiti in late September 2015. Currently they have a kickstarter campaign up to raise funds for their organization, to donate visit their site at www.StandHaitiProject.org or follow them on twitter @StandHaiti.
