Janice Ying is a former musician-turned physical therapist who specializes in treating musicians and is the owner of Opus Physical Therapy and Performance. She is currently the head PT at The Colburn School working on elite collegiate and graduate level musicians.
Janice won the Emerging Leader Award from the Academy of Orthopaedic Physical Therapy.
She believes musicians are an underserved population in physical therapy but have specific demands for treatment. As a PT, she focuses on performance load, practice/playing time, type of instruments, and techniques to understand the physical expectations of musicians.
Janice started her own business, Opus Physical Therapy and Performance, to meet the performance needs of her musicians.
